​Radiohead, Philip Glass, Miles Davis and sounds from his daily life in New York City greatly inspire his intriguing compositions. His use of space is highly compelling. ​

The Diederik Rijpstra Quartet play songs that combine lyricism and intense interactivity. Wampum, is the title of his exciting, recently released CD.
