SHONERT

The Music Of Dvorak And Tchaikovsky

A magnificent pairing of works by two of the greatest and most revered melodic masters, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (Russia) and Antonín Dvořák (Czech Republic), performed in modern times by RussianCzech violin virtuoso, Alexander Shonert. United in lyrical emotionalism, PanSlavic temperament and mutual admiration, these two icons of Classical Music were close friends and compatriots in real life. Shonert is uniquely qualified to interpret the music of his fellow countrymen. Shonert is a graduate of the well respected Russian State Conservatoire. He was also proclaimed a Laureate, receiving the prestigious Antonín Dvořák Prize. Shonert is so highly valued by the people of The Czech Republic, he was granted dual Czech/Russian citizenship! Dvorak's greatgrandson and Czech National Treasure, the late Josef Suk, once said about Shonert, “He is a brilliant artist, gifted by God. I was very moved by Alexander’s performance, as my greatgrandfather’s music deserves to be interpreted in such a way.”
