Grammy Award winner Robert Thomas Jr. has wowed audiences around the globe for more than three decades. Robert is widely considered one of the most important percussionists in music history. His lightning-fast hands and percussive pyrotechnics prompted Joe Zawinul to bestow upon him the title of  "Hand Drummer."

Bobby is a former member of the legendary jazz fusion groups WEATHER REPORT, WEATHER UPDATE, THE ZAWINUL SYNDICATE and JACO PASTORIUS WORD OF MOUTH BAND. He has also recorded and toured with the likes of Stan Getz, Ahmad Jamal, Monty Alexander, Sir Roland Hanna, Zoot Simms Herbie Mann, Eddie Harris and David Sanborn.

The Zawinul Legacy Band plays Carnegie Hall on March 08, 2014 and is touring the world, 2014-2015.
